Vinny’s Italian Grill, located on Lauderdale Drive in the Shops At Wellesley, offers an array of delicious Italian entrees, from gourmet pizza and pasta, to fresh salads and hearty subs.
On my visit to the establishment, my party and I were greeted by the friendly staff and seated promptly in their spacious yet inviting dining area. Our server, Alex, was very friendly and gave us prompt and courteous attention from the time she took our drink orders to when she presented us the check.
I started with a Caesar salad. It was moderately sized and was topped with a generous helping of fresh mozzarella cheese. For my main course, I ordered what the menu called one of their best sellers, the chicken parmigiana. It was pretty large, almost more than I could eat, but very modestly priced. The dish came out piping hot, the chicken was lightly breaded and very tender, and the spaghetti, covered in mozzarella, was great.
Vinny’s Italian Grill is a small chain that started in Fredericksburg, but despite the fact that there are numerous other locations, it retains its local appeal and hometown charm, unlike many other restaurants that are franchised out. The restaurant is very family friendly and caters to a vast array of tastes. If you’re up for some authentic Italian food but aren’t up for the steep Maggiano’s-like price tag, check out Vinny’s Italian Grill. You won’t be sorry.
