Daily Grind To Host Diabetes Rally

September 17, 2008 - 4:33 pm · By Trevor Dickerson

Thursday night, September 18, Daily Grind will be host to the American Diabetes Association Step Out Rally. The Brown Haze Project will perform live, there will be a silent auction, and 10% of the proceeds from dinner, drinks, and desserts will be donated to the American Diabetes Association. Owner Sam Jarrar and his wife, Allison, support the association throughout the year.

There will also be a silent auction featuring a large photograph on canvas (shown below) taken in the Outer Banks of North Carolina by local artist Mike Colligon entitled “Wild Spanish Mustangs of the Sea.” The sale of this beautiful piece will also benefit the Association.

The rally is a precursor to the Step Out Diabetes Walk that will take place at Monroe Park downtown on September 27. Money raised for the walk can be turned in at the Daily Grind rally, which will take place from 5:00-8:00 PM on the 18th.

For more information on the Daily Grind event, please call Sam Jarrar at (804) 360-1565.
