With the current state of the economy and many other important issues at stake, a record voter turnout is expected for the presidential election on November 4, 2008. To accommodate additional voters, Henrico County has split two voting precincts, as well as created new ones. More than 7,000 Henrico voters will be affected by the changes.
In the immediate area, a new Short Pump precinct will accommodate all voters along Pouncey Tract Road all the way to the Goochland County line, as well as most of Twin Hickory. New voter cards are being mailed to affected voters. A map of the new precinct can be found here.
