Yet another local parent is in trouble with the law for driving intoxicated while having a child in the vehicle. Henrico Police arrested 45-year-old Maureen Witmer, of the 5200 block of Cobblers Stone Court in Twin Hickory, early Monday morning. Witmer was pulled over at 8:00 p.m. on Sunday at 11000 Nuckols Road, near Fords Country Lane, and arrested approximately four hours later.
The woman’s 9-year-old son was in the car at the time. She faces charges of driving under the influence, and two other offenses. Her court hearing is January 27. Another local parent, 39-year-old Raleigh Thomas Campbell, was charged for driving under the influence after taking his son, ironically also 9, to the Beach House Bar & Grill in Innsbrook, a few weeks back.
