Circuit City Lends A Hand To Employees With Job Fair

Circuit City is in the process of liquidating all store inventory. Unfortunately, this means the merchandise isn’t the only thing disappearing. Thousands of employees will lose their jobs, many right here in our immediate area. Circuit City is doing what it can to help associates connect with new employers, however. The company will hold a job fair on Tuesday and Wednesday at its corporate headquarters at 9950 Mayland Drive in Short Pump.
The job fair is open to all current and former Circuit City employees and will run February 3rd and 4th from 8:30 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Circuit City will also offer special classes on resume writing, interview skills, and using online resources. The one hour classes will run both days at 9:00 a.m., 10:30 a.m., 1:00 p.m., and 2:30 p.m. Contact hr.administration@circuitcity.com for more information.

Thanks for posting this. I added the info and a link to this post on the RichmondWiki.org Circuit City Alumni Resources page.
This seems like a HORRIBLE idea to me. It seems more like a F$%* You than a helping hand. I guess that’s just the cynic in me rearing its ugly head. Any current or former CC employees going to this, and why?
