Test Results Show Possibly Tainted Water Now Safe To Drink

Homeowners of 9 houses along Gibsons Landing Drive near Godwin High School are now being told their tap water is safe for drinking. Residents complained that their water smelled like petroleum on January 22nd. It was determined the source was likely contamination from nearby construction. No one was made sick by the water, and Henrico County assisted the residents by flushing the water line supplying the homes, cleaning out toilet bowls, and providing bottled water until the line was deemed safe. .
