Two New Choices For Pizza In Short Pump

There are two new pizza joints on scene in Short Pump. This past week, eco-friendly chain Pizza Fusion opened a location at Short Pump Station, near Trader Joe’s. The company prides itself on using organic ingredients and earth-friendly suppliers.

According to the company’s website, they give customers discounts on their next order for returning their cardboard pizza boxes for recycling, and deliver pizza using only hybrid vehicles. The chain’s motto is “Saving The World One Pizza At A Time.”

Last week also marked the end of the Nuckols Road Bottoms Up Pizza location in the Twin Hickory Town Center. Owner James Jones said the Short Pump location’s pizza wasn’t held in the same regard as the original Shockoe Bottom restaurant, despite the fact that, according to Jones, all pizza ingredients used were identical. The restaurant’s new name, under the same ownership, is Paradise Pizza.
