Short Pump Town Center Hosting 5K For Childhood Cancer


The Association for the Support of Children with Cancer (ASK) is holding its 4th annual Fun Walk & 5K at Short Pump Town Center this coming Saturday morning. The organization raises money for programs that benefit childhood cancer patients and their families in the Richmond area. Registration can be done on the event website.

Capital One Slashes Jobs At West Creek Office Near Short Pump


Capital One Financial Corporation announced plans to eliminate almost 40 jobs in the Richmond area, some of which are reportedly at the company’s West Creek campus, just west of Short Pump off Route 288. The layoffs mainly came from the U.S. Card division, which manages customer accounts and credit card acquisitions.
