The Henrico County School Board voted unanimously tonight to adopt a revised version of “Pairing 3,” concluding a process that began in earnest last October when a 70-member volunteer committee began meeting to devise potential plans. My first impression upon entering the doors of Kenji Hibachi & Sushi Bar at the Parc Place Shops of Short Pump Town Center was how modern it was. The decor was upscale and contemporary, and trendy dance music played throughout the establishment. Short Pump-Based S&K Announces Plans To Liquidate Stores

S&K Famous Brands, headquartered in Short Pump, announced plans just after 1:00 p.m. today to liquidate assets and close all 105 of its remaining stores nationwide. Sales are expected to begin tomorrow. S&K filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy back in February, listing assets at the time of $41,440,100 and debts of $35,499,000. Read more


Police Believe Two Short Pump Robberies Are Related

Henrico Police think two robberies in as many grocery stores in Short Pump last week are related, based on witness reports and surveillance footage. The Short Pump Ukrop’s was robbed last Wednesday morning, and the Whole Foods at West Broad Village was robbed on Friday evening. Read more
