Police Believe Two Short Pump Robberies Are Related

Henrico Police think two robberies in as many grocery stores in Short Pump last week are related, based on witness reports and surveillance footage. The Short Pump Ukrop’s was robbed last Wednesday morning, and the Whole Foods at West Broad Village was robbed on Friday evening.

Police released a description of the suspect from the Ukrop’s robbery that matched surveilance footage from Whole Foods later in the week. The suspect is described as a slim white male, about 5′ 10″, in his early 40s with blonde hair and blue eyes. He was wearing a plaid shirt, blue jeans, and glasses at the time of the Ukrop’s robbery.

In the past week, police have been making the rounds in Short Pump making sure stores’ surveillance equipment is working properly, should the suspected robber strike again. Additional patrols have also taken place around the area.

The Ukrops robber was reported as being blond with a slim build and it appears that the Whole Foods robber (shown above) has dark hair and has a more muscular build. Not sure why it’s being reported as “related” but perhaps it is two guys with the other taking turns driving the getaway vehicle.
