Local resident Chad Brown had no idea what was about to happen as he sat poolside at a friend’s dorm on the UCLA campus Thursday afternoon. Sweet Frog recently opened its doors in the Downtown Short Pump shopping center at the corner of Broad & Pouncey Tract. Situated next to Regal Cinemas, Sweet Frog took the place of the former Silver Time Jewelry location. New University Coming To West Broad Village This Fall

South University, a private institution with six campuses across the southeast United States, is opening a Short Pump location. Henrico Withdraws Proposal For Twin Hickory Maintenance Facility

If our lives were a cartoon, fat would be a little creature dressed in a red suit with a pitch fork and smoke coming out of his ears. We’ve taken a perfectly healthy component of our diet and altered it in a way that makes it a nightmare to our well being. Fat, as we know it, exists in French fries, chicken wings, mayo, bacon and other malicious foods. So what do we do? We avoid it all together, eliminating as much as possible from our diets. Read more
Henrico Police Bust Suspected Prostitutes At Far West End Hotel

Henrico Police nabbed five suspected prostitutes in a sting at an area hotel early Thursday afternoon. Though authorities wouldn’t specify the exact hotel in order to be able to perform future stings, they stated they made the bust somewhere in the Far West End near Short Pump. Read more

Family Detains Man After Attempted Child Abduction In Innsbrook

Family members and nearby shoppers detained a man over the weekend who attempted to abduct a 4-year-old girl at the Innsbrook Shoppes around 7:00 p.m. Saturday evening. Police say the man attempted to abduct the child as she was getting into a car at the shopping center with two adult family members. Read more
