One of our readers, Aaron Lee, emailed us yesterday and indicated that the Short Pump Location in the John Rolfe Commons shopping center is now closed. 

A recent entrant to the local restaurant scene with a location in the Far West End has filed for bankruptcy protection. Pittsburgh-based Max and Erma’s filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection Friday to stave off one major creditor. The Short Pump location is in the John Rolfe Commons Shopping Center.

Henrico Police are searching for a man accused of robbing a Far West End bank Saturday morning. The suspect entered the SunTrust Bank at 1131 Gaskins Road around 10:00 a.m. and presented the teller with a note demanding money. He fled on foot before being clearly photographed on several surveillance cameras.

Henrico County Public Schools officials have announced that flu vaccinations scheduled to begin this week have been postponed. Director of Media Relations Mychael Dickerson says a shortage in vaccine is to blame and those in high-risk groups should contact their physicians for guidance. Vaccination clinics should resume soon.
