In a bizarre turn of events, the grandmother of a woman killed last week when her car veered off the roadway at Springfield and Jones Roads, just northeast of Innsbrook, was struck by a car and also died near her granddaughter’s crash site yesterday. A female driver was killed Saturday night when her car veered off of Springfield Road near Echo Lake Park and struck a tree. Henrico Police attempted to pull the driver of the vehicle over around 11:30 p.m. for speeding on West Broad Street. The driver allegedly picked up speed and refused to pull over. Read more
