Woman Arrested For Being Nude, Brandishing Weapon In Hilton Hotel


A Norfolk woman was arrested at the new Hilton Hotel & Spa in Short Pump Friday night after being found nude in an elevator with a toy gun. According to Henrico Police, 25-year-old Franchesca Dominique Edwards was found after “strange noises” were heard in the elevator around 8:30 p.m.

Martin’s Announces Richmond-Wide Ukrop’s Closing & Conversion Schedule


Ukrop’s new owners, Martin’s, announced it will begin the conversion of the 25 Ukrop’s Super Markets on Monday, April 5. During the conversion process, four to five stores at a time will temporarily close for one week, but pharmacies and banks will remain open for customer convenience.

A teen who allegedly murdered his father and, according to investigators, tried to cover up the act as a burglary, appeared in Henrico Circuit Court on Monday. 19-year-old UVA student Alan Chang testified that he fatally struck his father in the head, repeatedly, with a tenpin bowling pin.

Henrico Dive Teams Search Pond For Weapon Used In Twin Hickory Shooting


Henrico dive teams searched a retention pond behind the Park Meadows subdivision of Twin Hickory, where 53-year-old Terrance Nero was shot on March 11 through his kitchen window by an unidentified suspect, allegedly hiding in his backyard. Nero suffered a single gunshot wound to the face and remains hospitalized.

The Henrico County Board of Supervisors have approved the last stretch of John Rolfe Parkway, which will stretch from West Broad Street to Lauderdale Drivewhen completed in its entirety and is expected to alleviate Short Pump’s congested roads, at least somewhat, according to county officials.
