A mom often takes care of everyone else before herself. The needs of her children, her spouse, the house, even the family pet often get nurtured before mom does. All that is about to change with the opening of a new locally-owned business in Short Pump, Mom’s Treehouse.
For the last six years, Rachel Pustilnik, owner of Stroller Strides of Richmond, has been focusing on helping moms get back into shape after their babies are born, and recently she has added other fitness programs that are geared towards moms with children of any age.
“We have created an environment that supports motherhood by combining fitness programs, mommy-and-me classes, professional services, and shopping,” said Pustilnik. “Our hope is that moms put themselves first for a change while focusing on creating a healthy and happy family.”
In addition to exercise programs, Mom’s Treehouse will offer child-focused classes such as music, sign language, baby massage, and eco-friendly art classes. Additionally, local business Tots on-the-go will be selling high-quality child and baby travel products such as strollers, car seats, diaper bags, and other accessories within the store.
Finally, professional services such as nutritionists, massage therapists, lactation consultants, and more will be available in the next several months.
“We strive to provide moms the products and services they need to truly develop the strength for motherhood,” Pustilnik said. “We believe that healthy moms make happy families.”
The store’s grand opening is tomorrow, Saturday, January 29.
