Members of the Short Pump Community Center have failed in their attempt to convince the State Corporation Commission to stop dissolution of the SPCC by its board of directors, but they’re likely not done fighting to save the center.

VDOT will begin a resurfacing project on I-295 south in Henrico County between the Interstate 64 interchange (Exit 53) and Route 33 (Exit 49) Sunday evening. The work will be performed weeknights between 8 p.m. and 6 a.m. and some weekends during non-peak hours through next summer.

The Hotel Sierra celebrated the opening of its 10th hotel in the U.S. with a July 9 lunch, cocktail party and open house at its new location behind Short Pump Town Center. The Henrico County School Board voted unanimously tonight to adopt a revised version of “Pairing 3,” concluding a process that began in earnest last October when a 70-member volunteer committee began meeting to devise potential plans. The new school boundaries will take effect at the beginning of the 2010-11 school year.
