Henrico Police are investigating a string of three West End bank robberies that occurred on Wednesday, one of which was at a Short Pump bank. Around 2:30 p.m., officers responded to the Central Virginia Bank in the 3400 block of Lauderdale Drive.
It was reported by a clerk that a male demanded money. He was described as a light skinned black male, approximately 6’1, slender build, wearing a black t-shirt and jeans. The suspect did not display a weapon.
Around 2:45 p.m., officers responded to the Federal Credit Union in the 2000 block of Staples Mill Road in reference to an attempted bank robbery. It was reported by a clerk that a male demanded money. He was described as a heavy set black male, with a dark complexion, 6’0, 220-240 pounds, 30-40 years old. The suspect did not display a weapon.
Then at 3:30 p.m., officers responded to the Suntrust Bank in the 4000 block of Glenside Drive in reference to a bank robbery. It was reported by a clerk that a female demanded money. The suspect is described as a black female wearing a red sweater. The suspect did not display a weapon.
