Kakealicious makes spectacular creations with unusual flavors. A new cake and cupcake shop is the latest business to put down roots in Short Pump where locally owned businesses are thriving. Ingrid Law is the owner of confectionery creations shop Kakealicious.
The night ended with fashion designer Alex Garfield raising his arms, champagne flute in hand, and making a toast: “To hope!” But the Cure by Design event that took place September 24, 2011 at the Hilton Hotel in Short Pump was more than an event designed to raise funds to cure cancer.
Delicious food, live music and merchandise from around the world was found in abundance Saturday at the first annual International Food & Culture Festival held at Stratford University. A little rain didn’t put a damper on the festivities, which were moved partially indoors.
While “dog-friendly” might not be the first thing that comes to mind when you think of the Short Pump area just northwest of Richmond, during a recent excursion I found that the area has a lot to offer people and their pets.
Short Pump is known for the variety of local businesses, restaurants, and local flair. Add Ironfish to the list now – a local restaurant that introduces “Pescado” style food and panache to the West End.
