Henrico Police officers responded to a robbery in the 11100 block of West Broad Street on Sunday afternoon, near Dominion Boulevard and the Innsbrook Corporate Center. Two adults, a male and a female, reported a male subject displayed a handgun and demanded money just after 3:30 p.m. The suspect fled with several items belonging to the victims.

A description of the vehicle was given to local jurisdictions, and consequently a Virginia State Trooper located the vehicle on Interstate 95 a short time later. The vehicle was pulled over near Belvedere and Broad Street downtown. VCU Police assisted in the arrest.

Henrico Detectives charged a passenger in the vehicle, a 16 year old black male, with two counts of robbery and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony.

This incident marks the second armed robbery in a week in the Short Pump area. Two women were robbed outside of SkateNation Plus last Wednesday.
