Stratford University Hosts Second Annual International Food and Culture Festival

There will be dancing. There will be singing. There will be food. From belly dancing to eastern European treats, the Richmond campus of Stratford University will showcase the area’s most colorful performers and vendors at its Second Annual Food and Culture Festival on Saturday, September 22nd from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Approximately 30 vendors and entertainers from countries and regions such as Brazil, Thailand, India, Africa, Greece, Middle East, Japan, and Italy will be present. Local artisans and Stratford University’s own Culinary Arts department will be participating as well.

There will also be a Children’s Corner, with arts and crafts, Richmond SPCA Tail Wag’N, face painting, henna tattoos, Fire Truck tours, a moon bounce, storytelling, and a petting zoo, making this a fun event for the whole family.

The Festival is free to attend and will be held at 11104 West Broad Street, across from West Broad Village in Short Pump. Parking will be available on-site as well as in adjacent parking lots.

Food and beverages range in price from $3.00-$5.00. Those interested in attending are encouraged to join the Facebook event page, where the latest information about the event will be posted.
